Stop Snitching was an actual campaign that shocked the nation. Law enforcement agencies all over the country were at arms over the original Stop Snitching campaign. This song came about by a request from a prisoners rights activist/journalist who was working on a story about cold cases in Texas being closed by using jailhouse snitches as key witnesses sending at least 4 men to death row. Understand this that these men were tried and convicted based solely on the testimony of jailhouse informants. One single informant was used on two separate cases all tired by the same prosecutor. Having been the victim of jailhouse snitches I instantly jumped at the chance to bring this issue to light. Using jailhouse informants is bad practice as it is, but to allow it to convict and sentence people to death is insanity. This was nothing less than a prosecutor with political aspirations looking to make a name for himself. I ripped into the issue with no holds barred lyrics.
