I wrote Fight The Apathy when I was invited to be apart of not only the Protest Festival in Kristiansand, Norway but to be a part of a compilation CD name ofter the theme for the 2009 Protest Festival. The CD was a 2 disc containing protest music. The first disc were classic protest songs that were covered by various world renown artists both American and Norwegian. Being on a CD with the likes of Kris Kristofferson, Delbert McClinton ,Barry McGuire, Roger McGuinn & Mick Fleetwood just to name a few was surreal for me. Some of these guys have toured, played and recored with the Man In Black, Johnny Cash himself so this was a huge honor and I wanted to do something special so I wrote a title track that sent the producers over the wall. Having been dealing with apathy within my fight against the death penalty and for prisoners rights the song just came naturally to me. It was one of those songs that came from start to finish in a matter of an hours time. I touch on mass incarceration, the death penalty and every other injustice we endure in Amerikkka and spit it all in what seems one breath. Though it was previously released in Norway I had to include this track on my album. It is what should be the anthem of the struggle in the US.

Mass incarceration, has us losing generations
economical enslavement, has us face down on the pavement
they lock us up in cages, sentences that are outrages
friends and family evade us, like this fucking shits contagious
people fail to see, their motivation comes in payments

exoneration's happen daily with no explanations

even the united nations ignore the condemnation

prosecutor's derelictions got my trigger finger itching

I stay optimistic though my peers are pessimistic
